FarmWorks

FarmWorks is an agritech company based in Nairobi, Kenya, that aggregates fresh produce from smallholder farmers and distributes it to retail and hospitality clients while providing agricultural inputs and training. The enterprise operates a regional network of 23 distribution branches and 50 farmer field schools, serving an active supplier base of over 3,500 smallholder farmers across the country. By transitioning its previously corporate farms into dedicated demonstration centers, the company facilitates equipment loans, pest control services, and sustainable crop education to reliably supply its approximately 4,500 monthly customers. The organization has secured $5.6 million in total equity funding to date, which includes a recent $4.1 million financing round backed by institutional investors such as Acumen Resilient Agriculture Fund, DOB Equity, and Vested World. FarmWorks was officially founded in 2020 by Yi Li and Peter Muthee.
