The platform utilized semantic analysis to organize user libraries and ultimately stored over 400 million photos on Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure. Operating on a freemium business model, the company acquired 55,000 total users, including 6,800 paid subscribers, before shutting down in November 2013 due to unsustainable hosting costs. The startup raised $1.8 million in total equity funding, including a $1 million seed round led by Index Ventures with additional participation from 500 Startups, alongside $625,000 in debt financing.
