Based in Bangalore, India, Equilibrium develops and executes large-scale carbon removal projects across the Global South by working directly with rural farming communities to establish permanent carbon sinks. The company provides full-stack environmental solutions encompassing agroforestry, regenerative farming, and biochar initiatives, utilizing a proprietary technology platform to monitor ecological outcomes and generate tradeable carbon credits for corporate clients. Equilibrium manages an active project pipeline covering 120,000 hectares that engages over 150,000 farmers, with the capacity to deliver more than one million verified carbon credits annually. The organization recently secured $3 million in Series A funding from lead investors Kalaari Capital, Avaana Capital, and Peak XV Partners to accelerate its ongoing climate initiatives. Equilibrium was originally founded in 2021 by Siddhanth Jayaram and Anirudh Gupta before reorganizing as a standalone entity alongside co-founder Sricharann Seshadri.
