EMEA

The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA) is an independent research institution and think tank based in Barcelona, Spain, that provides detailed socio-economic and political economy analysis for the Euro-Mediterranean and African regions. The organization operates as a regional network, mobilizing a coalition of over 100 economic experts, academic scholars, and researchers to produce policy papers, economic forecasts, and strategic recommendations. EMEA collaborates extensively with international regulatory bodies and has secured substantial grant funding to support its ongoing research projects across more than 20 participating member countries. The institution frequently partners with recognizable global organizations such as the European Commission, the Union for the Mediterranean, and the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) to execute large-scale economic development initiatives and policy frameworks. The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association was officially founded in 2013 by lead researcher Professor Rym Ayadi.
