EDFI Management Company (EDFI MC) is an impact-driven financial service provider, a platform for European Development Finance Institutions. It specializes in blended finance, deploying catalytic capital through investments, guarantees, and syndications to bridge funding gaps for private sector projects. Its approach de-risks high-priority sectors and nascent markets via AgriFI for agriculture and ElectriFI for renewable energy.

Established in April 2016, EDFI MC formed as an initiative by European Development Financial Institutions. Its creation stemmed from managing delegated funding from EU blending instruments, notably the ElectriFI program. This reflected the European Commission's drive for DFIs to undertake mandates, leveraging collective capacity in development finance.

EDFI MC serves entrepreneurs and private sector ventures in frontier and developing markets, partnering with European Development Finance Institutions and the European Commission. Its vision empowers responsible entrepreneurs to drive sustainable development, fostering job creation, improving quality of life, and combating climate change. It strategically fills market gaps where commercial financing is unavailable.
