Based in New York City, Doorstep develops precision tracking software for delivery platforms that utilizes smartphone sensors to achieve sub-five-meter accuracy in indoor and outdoor environments where traditional GPS technology fails. This hardware-free solution tracks drivers from initial building entry directly to the customer's exact location, creating verifiable timelines designed to automate dispute resolution, combat last-mile fraud, and establish definitive proof of delivery. Operating across the majority of the United States, the platform currently supports logistics and food delivery operations across more than 160 million individual doorsteps. Transitioning from pilot programs to full commercial production, the enterprise recently secured an $8 million seed funding round led by Canaan Partners, with additional participation from Antler, Cercano Management, Cassius, and Sean Henry. Doorstep was founded in 2024 by co-founders Shashwat Murarka and Sheel Patel.
