Dansaek

Dansaek is a femtech startup based in Seoul, South Korea, that designs, develops, and manufactures functional apparel, specializing in reusable period underwear and specialized maternity garments. The company operates through a direct online business model, providing sustainable and technologically advanced textile alternatives to traditional disposable menstrual products for women across various age demographics. Since its initial product launch via crowdfunding, the enterprise has significantly expanded its manufacturing scale to sell over one million units of its signature absorbent underwear while growing its internal corporate team to approximately 30 dedicated employees. To support its ongoing research and domestic retail expansion, the organization has secured over $1.5 million in venture funding through investment rounds backed by recognizable institutional entities including Shinhan Capital, Dcamp, and Ignite Innovators. The Dansaek corporation was officially established in 2017 by sole founder Hwang Tae Eun.
