§ Private Profile · San Diego, CA, USA
Photonics and optical networking company that manufactured flexible all-optical switching modules for data centers, cloud computing, and ROADMs.
CrossFiber was a San Diego, California-based hardware startup that developed and manufactured flexible all-optical switching modules for data centers and cloud computing applications. The company produced the proprietary LiteSwitch platform, which provided automated fiber cross-connects and photonic switches designed to directly integrate with modern Software-Defined Networking environments. Operating primarily within the photonics and optical networking sectors, the venture-funded enterprise targeted traditional transport networks, ROADMs, and Web 2.0 data center operators by offering specific cost, power, and space advantages over conventional alternatives. Following a corporate leadership transition that saw Mike Decelle succeed original chief executive Hus Tigli, alongside Dr. Larry Marshall serving as Chairman, the company operated with zero reported employees in its final tracking stages before being sold to an undisclosed buyer in 2016. CrossFiber was officially founded in 2001 by Hus Tigli.
