Criatec

Criatec represents a family of venture capital funds dedicated to providing seed and early-stage investment to innovative Brazilian companies. These funds strategically invest across diverse sectors, including technology, fintech, healthcare, logistics, agriculture, biotechnology, education, and industrials. Criatec aims to support the development and scaling of promising ventures by offering capital and active guidance to foster their growth and market presence.

The original Criatec Fund was launched in 2007, an initiative spearheaded by the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), with its conceptualization dating back to 2006. This fund was established with significant capital from BNDES and Banco do Brasil, driven by the insight that a dedicated venture capital mechanism was crucial for cultivating an innovation ecosystem and professionalizing seed investment in Brazil. Subsequent funds, like Criatec 2 and Criatec 4, have seen management partnerships with private firms such as Triaxis Capital, Crescera Capital, and Bozano Investimentos.

Criatec's portfolio companies are primarily early-stage Brazilian enterprises, particularly those with a strong technological or innovative core.
