Founded in 2022 by Ibrahim Alshamrani and Ziyad Alshehri, the enterprise participated in the inaugural accelerator of the National Cybersecurity Authority. Cognna has raised over eleven million dollars in venture capital funding, including a nine million dollar Series A round in December 2025 backed by Impact46, Vision Ventures, BNVT Capital, Tali Ventures, and Faith Capital.
