Cogastro

Based in Kaunas, Lithuania, Cogastro develops specialized IoT-connected software designed to monitor and manage commercial operations for edible insect farms. The enterprise platform automates data collection to track key environmental and biological metrics, including insect age, reproduction rates, temperature, humidity, and feed efficiency to address manual analysis challenges in the emerging agricultural industry. Operating through a software subscription business model, the company has secured €780,000 in total funding across three seed rounds, which supported a fourfold increase in sales during 2021 and expansion to multi-year service contracts with customers across five continents. Its venture backing includes a €500,000 seed funding round led by LitBAN and CoInvest Capital, with participation from individual investors such as Audrius Dzikevičius, Viktorija Vaitkevičienė, and Jonas Vitkauskas. Cogastro was originally founded in 2019 by co-founders Mantė Šidlauskaitė and Artur Bartkevič.
