CITIC Securities is a full-service investment bank and brokerage firm based in Shenzhen, China, that provides underwriting, asset management, wealth management, and proprietary trading services to institutional and individual investors. The institution operates with significant scale across Asian capital markets, reporting total assets of approximately 1.391 trillion RMB, or roughly $216 billion, in 2022, alongside a net asset value of 130.5 billion RMB by mid-2023. The firm operates under its controlling shareholder, CITIC Group Corporation, and expanded its market presence by acquiring a controlling stake in China Asset Management. Additionally, the brokerage formed a strategic partnership with the London Stock Exchange Group and became the first Chinese securities firm listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. CITIC Securities was founded in 1995 under the leadership of CITIC Group and its then-chairman, Wang Jun.
