Established in July 2023, the fund was initiated by Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to strengthen open innovation and expand R&D capabilities. Full-scale operations commenced in January 2024 from its Boston base. John Gustofson, with over 25 years of venture capital and business development experience, leads Chugai Venture Fund.
