Centre for Digital Life Norway

The Centre for Digital Life Norway (DLN) operates as a national hub dedicated to advancing biotechnology research and innovation within Norway. It fosters transdisciplinary collaboration across various scientific domains, developing tools and methodologies that integrate biological sciences with digital technologies. The Centre provides guidance and training on responsible research and innovation, ethical and legal considerations, and data management, ensuring a holistic approach to technological development.

Established in 2016 through funding from the Research Council of Norway, the DLN was conceived from the insight that a concerted national effort was needed to transform Norwegian biotechnology. Its founding objective was to elevate the country’s research and educational landscape in this field, thereby driving innovation and generating greater societal value through scientific endeavor.
