Calltic

Founded in 2017 by chief executive officer Guy Van der Meeren, Calltic is based in Gent, Belgium, and develops acoustic analysis technology to detect telecommunications fraud, including SIM Box operations and International Revenue Share Fraud. Developed in collaboration with the University of Ghent, this methodology outperforms traditional call detail record solutions by rapidly identifying fraudulent SIM cards so mobile network operators can proactively block malicious users. The company provides these advanced detection systems to telecommunications providers across Africa and global markets where rampant fraud is highly prevalent. Operating with a team of approximately six employees, the organization secured €1.5 million in total funding from venture capital entities, including seed round leader Qbic and imec.istart. Following his tenure at the enterprise, Van der Meeren is now associated with FraudBuster, while Calltic's technology continues serving the worldwide telecommunications sector.
