Bukalapak

Bukalapak is an Indonesia-based e-commerce platform that connects millions of small and medium-sized enterprises, traditional mom-and-pop shops, and independent retail merchants with a broad base of domestic consumers. The digital marketplace facilitates online transactions across a diverse range of consumer product categories, successfully onboarding over 4.5 million sellers into the broader digital economy. Operating as one of the largest technology unicorns in Southeast Asia, the company achieved a major financial milestone by raising $1.5 billion during its initial public offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Prior to its public market debut, the enterprise secured substantial venture capital and strategic funding from prominent global and regional backers, including Microsoft, Standard Chartered Bank, and the Indonesian media conglomerate Emtek. Bukalapak was officially founded in 2010 by computer science graduates Achmad Zaky, Nugroho Herucahyono, and Fajrin Rasyid.
