Bluff is a municipal government based in Bluff, Utah, that provides local administrative services, community governance, and historical preservation for its residents. The town serves a population of approximately 250 residents and recently became Utah's 247th municipality following a 90-32 incorporation vote. Funded through local taxes and state support, the local government manages tourism and infrastructure near prominent regional landmarks such as the San Juan River and Bears Ears National Monument. The municipality also oversees the preservation of Ancestral Puebloan sites dating back to 650 A.D. and maintains the original townsite, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places alongside the Bluff Fort Historic Site. The community was originally settled in 1880 by Mormon pioneers arriving via the Hole-in-the-Rock expedition, before officially reincorporating as a town in a vote around 2023.
