Bitrig is an artificial intelligence-powered mobile application development platform that enables both technical developers and non-technical users to build, test, and deploy custom native Swift applications directly from their iPhones. Functioning as an automated coding assistant comparable to Lovable, the software eliminates the need for traditional desktop development environments like Apple's Xcode. The venture currently operates with a total headcount of three employees and recently launched its initial product on the iOS App Store while participating in the Y Combinator Summer 2025 accelerator batch. Prior to establishing the new startup, the executive team spent over a decade at Apple co-creating the SwiftUI framework, while also developing Storehouse, an Apple Design Award-winning application that was subsequently acquired by Square. Bitrig was officially founded in 2025 by former Apple engineers Tim Donnelly, Kyle Macomber, and Jacob Xiao.
