BELKIN Vision is a Yavne, Israel-based medical device company that develops an automated, contactless laser treatment system for patients suffering from open-angle glaucoma. The company's flagship Eagle device provides a one-second, non-invasive alternative to daily eye drops for a condition affecting approximately 70 million people worldwide. After securing FDA clearance in December 2023 and selling more than ten commercial devices to international clinical sites, the enterprise was officially acquired by Swiss eye care corporation Alcon in July 2024. Prior to the acquisition, which featured an $81 million upfront payment and up to $385 million in future clinical and sales milestones, the firm raised over $40 million in venture funding from institutional backers including Santen Ventures, Rimonci Capital, and BioLight Life Sciences. BELKIN Vision was founded in 2013 by Professor Michael Belkin, Daria Lemann-Blumenthal, and Ziv Karni.
