Beat the Q is a Sydney, Australia-based mobile pre-ordering and payment platform that enables consumers to order and pay for food and beverages in advance at cafes and quick-service restaurants. Prior to its consolidation, the application processed over 3 million transactions and served hundreds of cafes across the broader Australian market. The company expanded its market presence by acquiring the digital wallet eCoffeeCard and subsequently merging with the loyalty application Posse in late 2014. This combined entity reached 500,000 users, established 56,000 shop relationships, and secured $5 million in combined funding from notable investors including Bill Tai and Google Maps co-founder Lars Rasmussen.
