Programmatic mobile advertising network providing a Supply-Side Platform for app developers to monetize with native in-app ads.
Avocarrot is a San Francisco and Athens-based programmatic mobile advertising network that provides a supply-side platform for developers to integrate native in-app advertisements directly into their software. The company enables mobile publishers to monetize their US and European audiences through real-time bidding exchanges, generating revenue by taking a percentage of the ad spend flowing through its network. Prior to its exit, the enterprise secured $2 million in venture funding from backers including Odyssey Venture Partners and served major brand advertisers such as Unilever, Nivea, and Starbucks. In September 2016, the Berlin-based ad-tech firm Glispa Global Group acquired the 50-employee startup for a $20 million valuation in a mix of cash and stock, integrating its technology into the Ampiri monetization platform. Avocarrot was founded in 2012 by Conno Christou, Georgios Makkoulis, Giorgos Eracleous, and Panagiotis Papageorgiou.
