Approxima: AI company developing generative AI platforms to automate software development for engineering teams, writing and deploying code
Approxima is a San Francisco, California-based artificial intelligence company that develops autonomous coding agents designed to automate the entire software engineering lifecycle. The enterprise platform operates by independently scoping development work, writing necessary code, validating bug fixes within isolated sandbox environments, and seamlessly merging completed updates directly into live production systems. By handling incremental updates and routine maintenance, the technology allows engineering teams across the enterprise software, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence sectors to restrict human involvement strictly to novel ideation and complex architectural design. Currently operating with a lean scale of exactly two employees, the early-stage startup recently secured institutional backing and acceptance into the highly competitive Y Combinator Winter 2026 accelerator batch, working closely alongside primary partner Diana Hu. Approxima was officially established in the year 2025 by co-founders Ethan Pronev and Ashish Selvaraj.
