The Software-as-a-Service platform currently manages over 100 million agricultural acres globally across a network of more than 50,000 farms. Operating with a workforce of more than 50 employees, the system supports over 28,000 active users throughout Australia, the United States, New Zealand, and South Africa. In August 2021, the enterprise was acquired by Canadian precision agriculture corporation Semios for a valuation exceeding $100 million AUD. Following the transaction, the company began integrating its database capabilities with Semios' real-time crop sensor networks, while its executive leadership has previously received industry recognition from EY. Agworld was originally founded in 2009 by co-founders Doug Fitch, Matthew Powell, and Chris Cocks.
