ActLight

ActLight is a fabless semiconductor company based in Lausanne, Switzerland, that develops and licenses proprietary CMOS-based light sensor technology known as the Dynamic PhotoDiode. The firm's intellectual property enables ultra-low power consumption and high-sensitivity 3D depth sensing for applications across consumer electronics, automotive LiDAR systems, and healthcare monitoring devices. Functioning under an intellectual property licensing business model, the company provides its sensor designs to global chipmakers and electronics manufacturers for integration into smartphones, smartwatches, augmented reality headsets, and autonomous vehicles. Maintaining an estimated workforce of 10 to 50 employees, the enterprise has secured multiple institutional venture financing rounds, including a CHF 5 million Series C led by Swisscom Ventures, with additional participation from Redalpine and Verve Ventures. ActLight was officially founded in 2011 by co-founders Serguei Okhonin, Fredrik Uddegard, and Maxim Pastushenko.
