Getting Started

What is Startup Intros?

Startup Intros is a platform that helps startups raise capital by connecting them with investors. We provide tools for managing your data room, tracking investor relationships, and facilitating warm introductions to the right investors for your stage and industry.

How do I get started?

Simply sign up for a free account, create your workspace, and start by uploading your pitch deck and key documents to your data room. You can then invite team members, add investor contacts, and begin sharing your materials with potential investors.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No! Our Starter plan is completely free with no credit card required. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time to access more features and higher limits.

Can I import my existing investor contacts?

Yes! You can import contacts via CSV file or add them manually. We support importing from most CRM systems and spreadsheets.

Data Room & Documents

What types of documents can I upload?

You can upload any type of file including PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, images, and more. Common documents include pitch decks, financial models, cap tables, legal documents, and product demos.

How secure is my data?

We take security very seriously. All documents are encrypted in transit and at rest using bank-grade encryption. We use secure cloud infrastructure, implement strict access controls, and conduct regular security audits. You maintain full control over who can access your documents.

Can I control who sees what documents?

Absolutely! You can set different confidentiality levels for each document and create custom shareable links with specific permissions. You can also set expiration dates, password protection, view limits, and control whether recipients can download documents.

Can I see who viewed my documents?

Yes! We provide detailed analytics showing who viewed your documents, when they viewed them, how long they spent on each page, and whether they downloaded anything. You'll also receive real-time notifications when someone accesses your materials.

What happens if I delete a document?

Deleted documents are moved to a trash folder where they remain for 30 days before permanent deletion. During this time, you can restore them if needed. Any shareable links to deleted documents will stop working immediately.

Investor Relationships

How does the investor CRM work?

Our CRM helps you track all your investor relationships in one place. You can store contact information, track pipeline stages (from prospect to committed), log meeting notes, set follow-up reminders, and view the complete history of your interactions with each investor.

Can I track multiple funding rounds?

Yes! You can manage multiple fundraising campaigns simultaneously and track which investors are interested in each round. This is especially useful if you're raising seed funding while also planning your Series A.

Does Startup Intros connect me with investors?

While we don't directly introduce you to investors (we're a tools platform, not a broker), we do help you manage warm introductions from your network. You can track introduction requests, manage follow-ups, and see which connections led to successful meetings.

Can I collaborate with my co-founders?

Yes! All paid plans include team collaboration features. You can invite co-founders and team members to your workspace, assign tasks, share notes, and work together on your fundraising efforts.

Pricing & Billing

How much does Startup Intros cost?

We offer three plans: Starter (free forever), Pro ($49/month), and Enterprise (custom pricing). See our pricing page for detailed feature comparisons. All paid plans include a 14-day free trial.

Can I change plans later?

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes! Annual plans receive a 20% discount compared to monthly billing. Contact us for annual pricing details.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and PayPal. Enterprise customers can also pay by invoice.

What if I exceed my plan limits?

We'll notify you when you're approaching your limits. You can either upgrade your plan or we'll work with you to find a solution that fits your needs. We never cut off access to your data.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you're not satisfied for any reason within the first 14 days, we'll provide a full refund.

Features & Functionality

Can I customize the branding on shared documents?

Pro and Enterprise plans include custom branding features. You can add your logo, customize colors, and remove Startup Intros branding from shared links and data rooms.

Do you offer API access?

API access is available on Enterprise plans. You can integrate StartupIntros with your existing tools and workflows using our RESTful API.

Can I export my data?

Yes! You can export all your data at any time, including contacts, documents, and analytics. We believe in data portability and never lock you in.

Do you integrate with other tools?

We're continuously adding integrations. Current integrations include email providers for notifications and calendar apps for meeting scheduling. Enterprise plans can request custom integrations.

Is there a mobile app?

Our web platform is fully responsive and works great on mobile devices. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap.

Support & Legal

What kind of support do you offer?

All users receive email support. Pro plans include priority email support with faster response times. Enterprise plans include a dedicated account manager and phone support.

How quickly will I get a response?

We typically respond to support requests within 24 hours on business days. Pro customers receive responses within 4 hours, and Enterprise customers get same-day responses.

Is my data compliant with GDPR and other privacy laws?

Yes! We're fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other major privacy regulations. You maintain ownership of your data, and we provide tools to help you comply with data subject requests. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Where is my data stored?

We use secure cloud infrastructure hosted in the United States with regular backups. Enterprise customers can request specific data residency locations.

Do you have a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?

Enterprise plans include an SLA guaranteeing 99.9% uptime. We take reliability seriously and maintain redundant systems to ensure your data is always accessible.
